Perhaps because Zales offers special services on items purchased from them, like lifetime trade-in value and free cleaning.  Having the store name engraved on the ring lets them know that you're not trying to slip one past them.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Thats true Zales is a big and reputed Online Jewelry store. And by printing Their company name inside the ring or some where on the jewelry tells them in future that the Perticular jewelry belogs to them and they do not require other certificates before offering Discounted or free services on that Jewelry. Also it helps them to spread their brand Name (Mouth to mouth publicity).
