Like absofuckinlutely said, Yedda means knowledge in hebrew, but it's intresting to know the site was orginaly meant to be called Yadda (as in yadda yadda yadda...), but since the domain was taken, it was changed to Yedda.

Not really an answer, but a comment. My nickname is yedda, and has been since 1997. It came about pretty much the same way. I was a very wordy individual in English class in Junior High, and would give long, drawn-out answers to any question. I was first called Yadda Yadda Yadda, but this was eventually shortened/altered to Yedda, the hebrew word for knowledge. I was a little surprised to stumble onto this site.
