No, I believe that it actually made it worse. It made the cramps very painful, and it affected my daily life. I had insomnia and I was very bitchy with everybody. I do not suggest taking this birth control pill. Please consider another kind.

No!

YAZ has not been clinically tested for PMDD or for premenstrual syndrome. But it has been tested and the results are not encouraging. Accordingly to Bayer’s own clinical trials YAS increases the likelihood of blood clots, heart attack, and stroke. YAZ also contains drospirenone, a hormone known to increase potassium to dangerous levels. Excess potassium leads to excessive water retention which in turn causes breast tenderness, headaches, and unwanted weight gain.

Bayer’s own medical insert warns that the use of YAZ can cause intermenstrual bleeding, nervousness, menorrhagia, migraine, pain in extremity, enlarged abdomen, and decreased libido.

One need only read the website of Bayer Pharmaceutical, the makers of YAZ, to know YAZ not only doesn’t prevent or relieve any of the symptoms of PMS, YAZ will cause the onset of many PMS symptoms not previously experienced, and increase the intensity of many symptoms the woman is already suffering from.
