Xenon tetrafluoride gas is placed in a 3-liter container at 80°C. The pressure of the gas is found to be 0.117 atm. How many moles of the gas are in the container?

Haven't we been here before. Still the ideal gas equation.

 

PV = nRT

 

But, 80 C = 353.15 Kelvin

 

(0.117 atm)(3 Liters) = n(0.08206 L*atm/mol*K)(353.15 K)

 

0.351 = 28.979n

 

= 0.012 moles Xenon tetrafluoride
