What is wrong with my car?

So I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT and Istarted to notice that my car would not start very efficiently once warm, but does just fine on all cold starts. I then later noticed that my gas level will show one amount then after driving a little longer it will show that i have slightly more gas in my tank than it did before. I was just wondering is this a fuel pump problem or just spark plugs for the starting problem I just don't know!
