Good evening, Yeddians!

Given the recent explosion of pro-askers and the numerous questions each of them asks, I've been daydreaming of how nice it would be should they all somehow disappear into the sunset.

Since I don't think that's likely (because AOL doesn't give a flying fig if Yedda veterans enjoy the site any more, or not), I've begun pondering other solutions. And so, wouldn't it be nice if AOL Answers limited each person to no more than 6 or 8 questions within a 48 hour period?

They could still ask stupid questions about those idiotic 'articles' but we wouldn't be falling over them every time we log on and cruise through the 'Recently Asked' pages.

Well, now I'm curious. What are your "Wouldn't it be nice if..." wishes for AOL Answers? Let's hear 'em!

Wouldn't it be nice if ... the pro-askers would disappear from the site entirely?

Or,

Wouldn't it be nice if ... the pro-askers only asked questions using their own words instead of linking to some badly written Article Alley drivel?

Address the problems with the anonymous feature . They are aware of what actual account each anonymous post belongs to , so that should be rather easy to solve .    Also address the hidden profile and how to identify minors on the site . This is what the hidden profile feature is for but not everyone hiding their profile is a minor .

Wouldn't it be nice if... the tagline link people were prohibited from displaying the link in their posted answers and had to keep it in their profiles, instead?

I'll bet that would cut down on a lot of these poorly written one or two line answers which seem to be either a subtle ad or a recap of the original question.

Wouldn't it be nice if... all the Article Alley questions (the pro-asker drivel) would be routed to a separate page so we wouldn't have to see them unless we wanted to go there?

I would answer some of them if they were stand-alone questions asked in the poster's own words, but this constant citing of poorly written articles just so the poster can ask another stupid question is just plain ridiculous.

Do they get paid for this garbage?

What I would like to see is some control on the answerers.  There are far too many people giving inaccurate/inadequate replies to the few legitimate questions we get.  Many times, people seem to think that their personal opinions or Smart-Alec comments are the same as actual facts.  And, too many times, you see "I don't know" or "I'm not sure, but..." being posted.  If you don't know, either do a little research or don't reply to the question; a Day Runner badge isn't that important.

If somebody has taken the time to ask "Why does the moon orbit the Earth", they deserve more of a response than a link to YouTube of Sha Na Na singing "Blue Moon".

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
