How do I remove pledge furniture polish from my wood floor? (I had assumed my son knew what bottle to use, and I was wrong!)

Try doozy.com - They have a pre-cleaner that will remove old wax and oil

from wood. I saw it at the hardware store.

 

I have check doozy and yeah it can remove old wax and oil on woods.

I think a light finish sanding and sealing is a solution for you. On the other hand I do not think you should worry about sanding. A real wood floor can be sanded few times during its lifetime. Depending on how deep the sanding is you may have 4-6 times of sanding.
