AOL mail is frequently slow to display. It may take 60 seconds or more to show the mail. Once in a while it can take 5 minutes.

You could call it spam. Probably "phishing", trying to get you to go to a fake AOL web site and enter your password.

I'm having the same problem for all of my AOL addresses, and the above 800 number doesn't work. Their on-line "help" doesn't work either. Typical AOL. It's DEFINITELY time for me to switch from AOL, per everyone's advice!

One thing that may help is to sign off AOL, then use Mail, Mail Settings, Manage Saved Mail, Compact. Another thing you can do is to delete some of the mail; the more mail you have, the longer it takes to load. You don't need to keep the daily joke, or the invitation to a time-share presentation.
