It simply means the radiation tech saw what they thought might be an old scar or maybe some surgical clips. Maybe just a shadow they could not interpret. Probably nothing. That is why scan is read by a Radiologist not a tech.

I assume there are blood tests that show elevated liver enzyme levels, and the doctor wants to know if there is liver cancer, or cirrhosis, or hepatitis.
