Bo's 15 minutes of fame are up. Nice dog. Time to move on.

"I never learned anything when I was talking." Larry King

Why the bitterness?  I think that Bo is cute and that it's exciting for Obama's kids to have a dog around.

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. Louisa May Alcott

Once again he lied to the America people. This is not a rescued dog.

God Bless!

Bo is indeed a rescued dog.  Someone coulnt handle him + sent him back to the breeder,  most breeders do take dogs back if it does not work out with the new family.  The fact that the Obamas did not go into a literal shelter is a non factor.  This dogs has a second chance at a loving family, the same way dogs adopted from a local pound do.  I have fostered nearly 40 unwanted dogs + adopted them to loving families - dogs that are ' rehomed' are indeed rescued.... trust me!

Full bred dogs do not come from the pound but breed rescue.  There is more than one way to rescue an animal.

My first Scottie belonged to my boss's son who did not take care of her.  They would lock her in the bathroom; no food, no water for a weekend while they went out on their boat.  I started taking care of her until it became full time after she was mated and had puppies.  They finally gave her to me.  I consider her a rescue dog......just like my cat who came to my door after a house in the neighborhood was forclosed on.  I just consider that I was the one who did the rescuing.

I just say that they enjoy and love the dog as I am sure they will.  I am so happy for them.  I have a feeling that when the President is up on some late nights the dog will be right at his feet.

Who cares ..... I am more concerned with his destruction of America .... the America I served!!!!

I think this country needs to find something else to complain about. So the dog is NOT a rescue, perse. So what. The girls are happy and the dog found a forever home. That's what's important here. Because it came from a "reputable breeder" it did NOT enter a shelter. Kudos for the breeder for taking the dog back to find it another home. If there were more responsible pet owners, we wouldn't have a need for shelters.

First of all, just because a dog is a purebred that was returned to the kennel does no disqualify him as a rescue dog. In fct he was abandoned. Whenever a owner returns a pet after taking it home it is an abandoned pet.  Anyone who has lived with a pet that was "returned" for any reason would know the impact it had on the pet, inparticularly a canine. I'm the proud owner of an abandoned purebred nova scotia duck tolling retriever. Nursing him from the hurt of abandoment. Is a cherished experience. Let the naysayers talk. Obama family kudos to you.
