We just signed up w/ ATT U-verse package and am still accessing my AOL page through the ATT connection. Yesterday when the installer was here walking us through the way to use AOL, he showed us that up in the left hand side along a tab selection, there was a choice called "Classic AOL." We clicked on it and it brought me back to my old AOL home page. I much prefer that one over the newer version. After the installer left, I was able to get back to the classic aol home page 2x by myself. I saw the tab choice and clicked it. Bingo, I was back. Now for "some unexplained" reason, that tab choice is no longer there and I've not been able to get back to the classic home page that I would like to continue using. I've explored around the new home page looking for how to go back. I've even typed in search bars "aol classic home page" but that's only taken me to a page of links that seem to be for people who wish to download it bcuz they don't already have it. Please, can you help? Robin
Same here. I hate the new "AOL DESKTOP" for Mac .... and had trouble getting the old classic aol to download. I suspect that AOL is trying to force people into the new and UNimproved. I have almost quit using aol as a result and might stop entirely. I think YEDDA is the last good feature AOL has going now. Real shame.
To get the old AOL Classic homepage type in
and the old page should come up on your screen. To keep this homepage go
to Tools and press Internet Options- press General tab and your homepage
preference box will show. Remove your current address from the box and replace
it with the above address that got you the old homepage you are on now.
Press the Apply tab and the OK tab and you should be all set.
God Bless, Fran
Just put this link in your address bar and it comes up!! I just found out!
