Would you talk to your kids about them?
There are no born-atheists. Are there? More likely than not, the known majority of atheists are ex-Christians anyway. There is reason to think that on the Judgement Day God will show more mercy to them than to Christians! (Matt. 7: 21-23; 11: 20-24).
atheists are all brainwashed bigots.
Woldyesus, you have it wrong. Completely so. We don't start out Christians. One way to think of a human being is the old "computer metaphor." The first element is hardware (the physical presence) software (that tells the hardware what to do) and the Internet (that connects one computer to another) with plenty of good info and a few nasty hackers spreading viruses.
These metaphors are the body, the mind, and the spirit. The spirit connects us with others, through unseen but clear and well known channels. Hackers do assorted needless vandalism by abusing the Internet and evil-minded bigots do assorted needless vandalism to others' lives through dishonesty, atheism, and hate.
Look around you sometime. Who wants to be hated? No sane person, that's for sure. But look at two clumps of lunatics that go out of their way to be hateful and hated. The deciding characteristics of hate-filled cults are that they demand that you submit to hate and that they deny you something that you have earned and need because it serves a very good prupose.
Now, what two groups want to be hated worse than any other two groups on the planet?
I think you know.
Let us agree to disagree for the moment.
Woldyesus, no one is born brainwashed therefore no one is born atheist. Atheism is a cult one joins more as a practical joke than anything else. Unfortunately, some people actually believe that practical joke is real, hence we see the anger and stubbornness we have come to expect from atheists.
In the case of truly gullible persons, they cease to understand that there is a difference between atheism and reality, hence they lose all rational perspective and their blunders ruin the lives of others who are unfortunate enough to be anywhere near them.
As we grow, we learn about nature, people, and eventually find out about God. We learn about our accountability for our actions. We learn to get along. We learn that there are rules, and that rules make life easier for everyone as long as those rules are reasonable. This is called religion.
There are people who oppose all religion because religion gives us a way to decide matters rationally, to settle disputes quietly, and to live at peace. Of course, atheists must always spread the most agitated lies that they can, and back up these lies with other lies, which in turn we call atheist propaganda.
Atheists do not have what it takes to complete functional degrees therefore we append "theoretical" to their degrees to keep them well out of the actual practice of science. That is because they lack the social skills to get along well with others and work well as a team.
We have seen the problems associated with atheism, and we have all suffered from atheists one way or another. For antisocial atheists to demand to post huge billboards recruiting for their anti-religious cult is of course laughable.
One might as well recruit for a cult of psychotics, as that more accurately describes atheists than any other term.
Everyone is born an atheist. You learn about god through religious indoctrination.
My, how brainwashed atheists always get everything wrong. That might be why you need to sober up.
Atheism is the sickest practical joke in history. That is why all atheists want us to hate them -- because atheists are all that backward in their cult indoctrination!
You want to be hated but in short order, you will be forgotten.
Anonymous, there is no real distinction between overt and covert atheists! Is there?
If so, the Christain background of atheists, in general, is verifiable. Brainwashing is typical of all religions (including Christianity) anyway. Isn't it?
Anselmogxl3q, the burden of proof falls on the theists rather than on the atheists.
Physicalist, I do not know if everyone is born an atheist. At least one known "exception" is John the Baptist. (Luke 1: 15, 44)
The seed of atheism is surely sown in religious indoctrination which utterly lacks firsthand knowledge of God as there is at the end of the road map in the Scriptures, a.k.a., Christ's death on the cross. That is a fact!
