To always remember it's not what you say, it's what you do that children pay attention to.

Spend time with them, listen to what they say and how they feel. Be honest with them. Limit TV time and select what they watch and also video games.

You can give them too much of anything and everything...BUT you can NEVER give them too much love.

A parenting tip I receive awhile back was to connect with your child on a daily bases. Every time there is a separation between you and your child due to work, school, travel or any other reason, make sure you touch, embrace, even a small embrace, and try to get a smile out of them.

When you take the time to does, it will work wonders. In the morning it’s not always easy to connect with the kids. Everyone is running around trying to get out the door, but on the way to drop my daughter off the HS I always try to get a smile out of her with a joke, something on the radio, I sing of key, whatever it take. Sometimes I’m not up for it and it still needs to be done
