What's the matter with AOL mail?

I click on my email, nothing happens.  I click agian......nothing happens. It usually takes 3-4 or even 5 clicks to get it to respond.  It seems to load a little slower every time I use it.  If this is some misguided attempt to get a user to spend more time looking at ads, then it qualifies as an incredibly stupid idea.  AOL mail gets a little worse all the time.  I'm getting very close to being an ex-user.

My aol mail has become extremely slow to load and respond

One thing that may help is to sign off AOL, then use Mail, Mail Settings, Manage Saved Mail, Compact. Another thing you can do is to delete some of the mail; the more mail you have, the longer it takes to load. You don't need to keep the daily joke, or the invitation to a time-share presentation.
