What's the matter with AOL mail?

I click on my email, nothing happens.  I click agian......nothing happens. It usually takes 3-4 or even 5 clicks to get it to respond.  It seems to load a little slower every time I use it.  If this is some misguided attempt to get a user to spend more time looking at ads, then it qualifies as an incredibly stupid idea.  AOL mail gets a little worse all the time.  I'm getting very close to being an ex-user.
