CCleaner

I've use CCleaner for about 5 years and it's never caused me any harm. I use it about

every 2 or 3 months.

If you use it make the backup for the registry when asked.

The backup goes to your Documents - You right click it and left click Merge to put it back.

I always uncheck the part of empty the recycle ben.

hijackthis is good if your careful. I use their website to analyze the log.        http://hijackthis.de/index.php  If you remove the wrong item you can destroy your computer. They also have Forums to analyze your log for you. That takes a long time.

Edit = Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Clean up - Click OK
