The kid grew up in the house of prostitution. Her other sister and Joseph adopted him from her sister but he still spent a lot of time with his biological mother.

 

It was just an idea but does sound like it was based off of a family. But who's Odous? Was he the father?

 

I'M not religious but I do run into other sources at times.
