Welcome screen doesn't load

The aol welcome screen briefly appears and then is replaced with the error  message "Internet Explorer cannot open Internet Site http://w.main.welcomescreen.aol.com/?cobrand=htmlws-main-bb operation aborted" I can access email and other features still work, but the welcome screen won't load.
