how does acai berry make weightloss more rapidly?
I have not been able to find any evidence that it does. The acai berry is very high in antioxidants which are good for you, but which can also be found in a number of other fruits. Since it's a 'new' fruit and not familiar to Americans until recently, the advertisers have taken the 'magic' image and run off with it, claiming their products can do all sorts of things. If the acai berry had the ability to promote permanent weight loss you wouldn't see any people like Oprah being overweight--they would have access to it and would be using it successfully!
Its a huge product at the moment, powered by a recommendation on Oprah. It is a good fruit/berry to eat in general so it probably is a good idea to take it anyway. Diet programs or products work in different ways. Something like the sensa weight loss program suppresses the desire to eat more, causing weight loss in that way.
There is ZERO clinical research to suggest that Acai Berries aid in weight loss.
Yes, they are high in antioxidants, but actual analysis of antioxidant levels in Acai Berries have found that they actually have few antioxidants than other common foods like blueberries, red grapes, red wine, etc.
The claims around Acai Berries that people continually attribute to Oprah, Dr. Oz and Dr. Perricone actually have nothing to do with Acai Berries causing direct weight loss. Dr. Oz only mentioned that they were high in antioxidants -- unscrupulous internet fad diet marketers filled in the blanks and started saying they were a diet aid.

Save your money, and instead of buying Acai berry supplements, but some whole food like oatmeal, fresh vegetables and other "clean eating" foods -- which are NOT a fad and will help you lose fat and build muscle, as well as stay healthier. Best of luck!
It seems like every time you turn around there is an ad for Acai berries. I'm not sure if they work but it seems like just another fad to me.
