Marsha Hi,

I would suggest two things:

1. A good Bra - very important and changes the way your waist and clothes in general look on the body.

2. Tops - not closed  either with a round or V neck or even broader opening tawards the shoulders. and Ofcourse not too long- you are not a tent!

There is a good book with good and practical ideas- It is called what not to wear- Two English women- They also had a TV show called the same.

I would look for the book- They have two of them, don't have to buy it but it has good styling ideas and practical tips.

Enjoy.

Don't leave the house until you have learned what foods make you gain weight and what foods are good for you. Read Michael Pollan's book "In Defense of Food"  Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup used by many food companys as an additive that is a cheap sweetener. It is highly addictive, highly fattening.  It is found in many cheaper foods and at fast food places. You can get better foods without this additive. They put it in bottled salad dressings, in breads, in packaged foods, in Coca Cola, in french frys, in cookies, cakes, even in yogurts etc.  READ THE INGREDIENTS BEFORE YOU BUY.  If you go to a restaurant, share your order with your date or take half home with you.  They always give you way too much for one human to eat unless they are football players. Never feel forced to eat all that they serve you.  Take it home eat it the next day for lunch. If you must leave the house wear neutral colors that are not tight fitting. They must softly flow over your body. Avoid belts that give attention to your waist. No prints that are colorful or large. Good Luck

I had the same problem for many years. My answer, which came too many years late in my life, I was 35, was a breast reduction!  I looked so much younger, clothes fit and I lost that matronly look.  Full figured is attractive if well proportioned.  I too-large bust on a too-short girl made me look fat no matter what I wore.

The suggestion of V-necks is a good one, also the right bra.  The underwired, bust reducing stlyles work very well and can reduce the bust size by up to 2 inches.

The breast reduction allowed me to finally purchase and wear bathing suits and to be known for more than just being 'stacked'.

I wish I had done it sooner. I'm in my early 60-s right now, the surgery was 20 years ago and I still have attractive breasts, even at my age.
