There are many histories of Scotland, some going back over 3,000 years to the earliest Celts and Druids.

Note that the earlier records (antedating Saint Patrick) may be subject to error, particularly claims of terrirories and claims of ruling families.  Clan records can be fraught with error, although the Naughton Clan and Dewar Clan have maintained histories that are surprisingly accurate.

Edinburgh University keeps a credible history, and the Scarsdale LDS Geneaological Library can provide quite a bit of source material.

Still there is no substitute for a field visit, listing the names of tombstones and copy of old Church records that settle many disputes (and cause others) about the history of this fascinating land.

It only matters that we do the right things, for the right reasons. Whoever opposes human rights will always be just another leftist tyrant who must be eliminated for the sake of all that is good.
