Warrantee still active

I recently had my 2007 (bought new in 2008) serviced and was told after they inspected the brakes and struts , that my struts were leaking, and i needed to have new struts installed. I told them that my warrantee was stillactive to 1/19/13. They told me that kia should replace the struts as the warrantee was still in effect.
