Discuss Book's answer to: Why did Walt Disney ban his film of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"?

Why did Walt Disney ban his film of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"?

Walt Disney did not ban any of his cartoons.  However, since his death in 1966, the company has pulled a few from circulation for being politically insensitive. (the feature "Song of the South" being the most notorious, which has been withheld even from Library of Congress archival)  "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" has not been banned, despite claims on the Internet.  There may have been legal action taken against people who were using it without permission, but it has always been available through legitimate sources.
