W H O...S A I D...T H E S E...?

I have heard two wonderful quotations, several years ago, but can't remember their authors.  Does anyone know who said the following?

1) "There are no strangers, only friends we haven't

   met".

2) "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin."

                                                        THANKS!

1. This is most likely an anonymous quote. This quote, and some very similar variations have been attributed to several different people.

2. Shakespeare

Dear JayR: Thank you SO much for your reply! I'm glad to know who wrote: "One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin." (Shakespeare!) What work of Shakespeare's was it in, do you know? Also, thanks for the info on Quote No. 1, ("There Are No Strangers, Only Friends We Don't Yet Know".) SEVERAL people may have quoted it. Would you know the names of any of these people? Thanks again SO much for your reply!!!!!!!! (Yours was the first reply to any of my questions!!!!!!! : )
