I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it
will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away

ten years if I don't start driving a Prius..
Umm what is the point of this question? It seems to make no point, and run in circles. Unless that is the point, that voting democrat is pointless becuase that don't do what they promise, they promise unrealistic things, and what they say makes no sense. In which case you would be right. lol
Along vein of Carl's comment, it is fair to say that few politicians in the United States --and around the world-- carry a true sense of the need of the people before them. Problem is that we know this, yet we don't use the system in our favor and when we do decide to act, we end up doing so convinced that we know and understand the issues, but the reality is quite another: a huge gulf between what we think we know and what we really know. Concerns are misplaced and little research --honest search of pros and cons based on understanding of the mechanics that house the issues-- is ever pursued. In short, the people get leaders after their own heart and the scenario concludes with the blind leading the blind.
