Not sure. Better consult an immigration officer or a lmmigration ins lawyer. But If you're engaged in a especiality occupation then perhaps you can apply for H-1 Visa that is if the US Consulate would issue an employment-authorized B1 visa where the work to be done would usually require an H1B visa.
