The Terror by Night

When the terror creeped by night 

so silent so stealthy

and hidden from sight

I was frightened, and prayed for cover

The electrical charge arced all around

roaring and static hissing the sound

but the charge was blocked all around

it arced and crackled but I am covered

covered from the terror that hissed and crackled

covered 'neath a shield over me, covered

The terror was vanquished, exited, fled from me

I am free!
