The Terror by Night

When the terror creeped by night 

so silent so stealthy

and hidden from sight

I was frightened, and prayed for cover

The electrical charge arced all around

roaring and static hissing the sound

but the charge was blocked all around

it arced and crackled but I am covered

covered from the terror that hissed and crackled

covered 'neath a shield over me, covered

The terror was vanquished, exited, fled from me

I am free!

The Voices

The voices were in the night

The faces were hid from sight

the voice of a man

the voice of a woman

men and women

voices of interrogation

why do they question me?

I've done nothing wrong

They questioned and interrogated

I said nothing, and I narrated an epic saga

I hid behind a concrete wall

I talked and jabbered in an open sunlit field

and on a warm sun-drenched beach, I talked

I was silent, and spat back, yelled, screamed for them

to go to hell, go to blazes, leave, depart.

then I sighed

a brief respite

quiet to the point of a vaccume.

I paused

then they came again

Men talking, women talking

madness WITHOUT madness

sadness WITHOUT sadness I felt

I felt, I felt, 

they felt, they felt,

I heard, but saw nothing

the room crackled

a hated it

the air hissed

I despised it

I am invincible

I am impervious

Defiant defiant defiant

huddled fetal huddled and fetal

defiant and clocky

resilient, mature, covered, protected, ALIVE!

voices without faces, I cannot see

It was terrifying

I hated it!

Let the devil go to blazes!

My Love 

My Love knows no bounds

He knows it and covers me

because it belongs to Him

the One, my Creator who protects me

He holds all things together.
