I don't quite fully understand your question, but Jesus didn't ask for a rebuilt temple. He is the Temple and therefore doesn't need one built by man.

He did say 'tear down this temple and I will build it in three days' referring to

His ressurection after the crucifixion. He supercedes all Temples that man can build and has overcome all material aspects of this life and has taken away sin by this same act of Ressurection power that extends to all believers.

He did command His disciples to go out into the world and spread the 'Good news' or GOSPEL concerning His power to forgive sin and they did. Paul and Peter, John, Stephen,etc.; they all did His commands when they had received His Holy Spirit of understanding on the day of Pentecost. From that point on, they never looked back because the Spirit of Jesus was in them and in the case of Paul, he mentions this revelation of Spirit in all of his writings and he being told by Jesus many things that would happen to him in his life after he was converted by Jesus on the road to Damascus.

By the way, Jesus never mentioned in the Bible to start a religion. He said "Feed my sheep" and "Spread the Good News". If you want to interpret that as a religious decree, that's with you. I believe you are saying what I am in as much as you believe that a lot of religious groups deviate from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, there are places in the Bible where God says "What kind of House could you build for me". The meaning is that God is the creator of all things and simply wants us to worship Him only and follow His command and repent of sin and be received into His Spirit and Kingdom. You don't need a church or religious order to get to the "Jesus club house", only the direct connection of you and Jesus. No intercession needed. However, I don't see any harm where people want to gather in His name to worship Him even if that is two people or three. But churches do have a way sometimes of taking away the joy of the FREE GIFT FROM GOD TO ALL WHO BELIEVE!

Joe, you got that right. Jesus lives in my heart. Having Him in me is calm and kind. Gotta say it feels good to have a clean slate. Get a clean slate and you don't want another mark on it! That'll square anyone away.

I don't doubt why Walk wants to wreck Church Buildings. AA meets in there and so do other groups. Getting squared away makes the difference. Getting clean and staying clean makes life easy and kind.

The only ones that want you dirty are atheists. They figure they can control you if they have something criminal on you. Shot callers in prison think that way too.

If it hadn't been for Catholic Social Services and Saint Vincent de Paul Society, I never would have got a decent job. That's one reason atheists hate Christians -- it is something atheists can't control, so like a prison shot caller atheists have to do something to get control over you again or they feel like they are losing power.

How can atheists lose something they never had to begin with?

Joe quest, you are RARE one that responds to me.

The one thing that I see is that you never said who the Gospel or Good News is to.

Jesus never LIES and when He tells everyone that the Good News is to the POOR and SUFFERING in Luke 4:18 & Matthew 11:5 it is TRUE but RELIGIONS LIE and says that it to everyone.

Yes, those that are NOT POOR pretend the Gospel is to them also. They can read the Gospel but it is NOT GOOD NEWS TO THEM.

It is ONLY to the ones that Jesus says it is to.

I will reveal the TRUTH to you. The Gospel is this*** Luke 6:20 "Blessed are you who are poor, yours is the kingdom of God.

Religions will manipulate Matthew 5:3 to convince people that if they PRETEND to be poor, then they are poor, but PRETENDING is a definition of LYING.

You vesion may be worded differently but it is the same.

Biker, I am a real SHEEP of Christ but I have eaten at 'FEED MY SHEEP' in Gulfport Ms, a soup kitchen as I traveled across the U.S. 10 times taking the GOOD NEWS to the POOR and SUFFERING walking an average of 25 to 30 miles a day.

I know how to SUFFER or ENDURE for the name sake of Jesus Christ and I praise God for allowing me to 'SUFFER' or 'ENDURE', depending on your version of the Bible.

Walkingglass, consider the lillies of the valley. They neither spin nor weave, yet Solomon in all his glory was never clothed so finely as one of these simple little flowers. Consider the House of God, that may be nothing more than a plywood structure with tarpaper that serves as a roof, yet the congregation rejoices to meet there to hear the Word of God, and without a minister to care, the flock soon scatters to face the wiles of the devil alone.

How easy is it for one of an unclean spirit to misread the Words of God, as Satan did to Jesus during His temptation in the wilderness. Clearly, the off-center religion you are in has been misled so badly that you cannot see the truth before you, revealed by saints with experience who care, baptized in the Holy Ghost.

The discernment of a man of God will always bring these matters out. It is only for legalistic cults to twist the Scriptures to say what they did not mean. The most often confronted cult along that line is the atheist cult. There are other cults to be sure but there is none quite so unforgiving or false of heart as the athest cult.

In any case, Walkingglass, you have been very severely misled.
