My father is my hero and I want to try make his last years as easy on him as possible. We are not sure where to turn. I thought if anyone could help it would be The Maury Show.
I am looking for someone that would help my parents acquire a van with a wheelchair left. My father has been in a wheelchair almost 16 yrs. My mother has taken total care of him and now they have nothing to drive. My parents were hard workers, and business owners and now they have nothing. It has all been spent on medical bills and drugs. It is very degrading to both of them to have to live with so little income. They live in Zanesville Ohio and I live over 56 miles away in Gahanna Ohio, and I have to go take dad to kidney dialysis M-W-F no matter the weather. My job has been good to let me have those days off, but it makes my checks short. I am not sure how long my van will last with all the miles I have been putting on it. Right now my fathers life depends on me getting there and transfering him back and forth. Its hard on him due to the pain he is in. Thats why a van with a chair lift would be awesome. I know that there a companies that help in just such times of need. Please consider my dad and mom as someone that needs to be helped.
Any help you could give would be awesome.

Hi Gina. I recommend contacting social services. They may be able to help you find either a ride-share to help your father get to his appointments or be able to find your parents a van. Good luck!
