I fail to see the importance of Valentine's Day when I show my wife my love every day. Wouldn't you agree?

many people just like the extra attention, even if it is homemade valentine card, unfortunately the media doesn't help!

I'm pretty much that way with all holidays.  Yet, I guess that it is nice to have special days.  Thing is, each day is special.  My husband of 26 years does not like to shop, why should he run out and shop when almost everything I enjoy each day is because of our life together.  It isn't like he doesn't tell me he loves me a lot and also shows his appreciation...so what is the big deal about V-day?  I'm not sure either.  On the other hand, if it meant anything to either of us, the other one would go out of our way to make it special for the other.  If your wife sees the point of it and it makes her feel special, then I guess it is another way to give to partner and see them smile.  Then it has the meaning she gives to it, and her feelings are certainly important.  Who knows what kind of childhood memories and all are involved in these things?  I have no need of it either, but to some people it goes a long way to making the heart smile.

Yes, brosen, I agree. However, considering all the chocolates, roses, and diamonds that are sold, it does give the economy a much-needed boost. Do many people in Israel observe Valentine's Day?

It is very important to show our love to our partner everyday as much as possible not only on the special day but everytime indeed. There's a lot of ways to show love not only by offering something like chocolates or flowers but your care, your love and presence and concern is enough to let her realize how your really love her.
