There used to be a Gleason Restaurant where you parked you car and you ordered your food and the servers would come to your car with food and you would eat right there. What is this called and are there any more of theses around? This was back in the 60's
They are called drive ins sugar! Up here no one drives much but we fly here and there the way you lowers drive. Here you tie up to the dock, pump out the pontoons and then get something to eat. Then you fly off to wherever you want to go.
I'd rather just go in out of the cold and sit down.
They are still around in some small towns in the US. They are called Drive-In restaurants, and those servers were called "car-hops." Some Car-Hops wore old fashioned roller skates in order to speed up the service.
