frequent urination is called nocturia cause inflammation reduces the bladders capacity to hold urine so even just a lil urine in the bladder can make you feel uncomfortable and use the restroom. what could cause this is different symptoms like a urinary tract infection, overactive bladder syndrome, prostate problems etc...... i would most likely go to your docter...

open-minded & positive. ^_^

You could have Type 2 Diabetesm, especially if you an increased thirst and swelling in your feet.   But this is just something that I've guessed from reading your symptoms and is not certain.  You could also have kidney problems.  But why wait four years?  You should have consulted with a doctor one year or earlier.  What if you have a tumor growth pressing against your bladder and the tumor is diagnosed as being cancerous?  You are not valuing your life much by waiting so very long.  Please consult with a physician or an emergency room to determine why you are experiencing frequent urinations.

I'll search, while you wait.

Together, frequent and urgent urination are classic signs of a urinary tract infection. Since inflammation reduces the bladder's capacity to hold urine, even small amounts of urine cause discomfort.

Diabetes, pregnancy, and prostate problems are other common causes of these symptoms.

Other causes include:

  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Medicines such as diuretics
  • Overactive bladder syndrome
  • Stroke and other neurological diseases

Less common causes:

Common causes of nighttime urination:

  • Drinking too much before bedtime, especially caffeine or alcohol
  • Enlarged prostate

Home Care

Follow the therapy recommended by your doctor to treat the underlying cause of your urinary frequency or urgency. It may help to keep a diary of times and amounts of urine voided to bring with you to the doctor.

This should by no means go untreated. Please see your primary care physician before self diagnosing yourself.

Good luck and best wishes.

Please, go see your physician immediately. You have waited much too long and probably got all sorts of advice. It is not good to carry around an infection for so long since it can result in damage to your system.

Thank you all so much, I know I should have already seen a doctor.  The "excuse" I'm using is i was raised by grandparents that never took us to doctors and always think things will work themselves out.  My brother almost died with a burst appendix when we were young because of this.  Just the way i was raised.  Also i am poor.lol  thanks again

Be wise

Just because you are poor does not mean that you should not seek treatment. Go to your community health clinic, arrange to make payments to a doctor, borrow money from a friend, go to the emergency room.

Whatever you do, get in and find out what is causing your problems.

Good luck and best wishes.

You have a weak bladder. Go to a store that sells herbs & get some chickweed tea. It will strengthen the muscles that make you go so much & those urges will go away. Also eliminate any chemical sweetners like aspertame, phenylalanine, & any 'diet' drinks

If you have pain when the urine is inside and not coming out, this could be interstitial cystitis. Some woman have endometriosis with this. Men can get this too but less frequent.
