never buy unlock code! do a little research and you can get it free, plus most of these sites are rip off sites anyway. if you cant find it free ,almost all cellphone providers will unlock it for free anyway just tell them you are going out of the country,Cool and they will give it to you so you can use it while your gone.

It's a fully detailed guide on how to unlock a BlackBerry 9500: 
  
1. Insert any sim card
2. Turn off all of the wireless connections
3. Go to Options
4. Select Advanced Options 
5. Select SIM Card 
6. Type MEPD ( you will not be able to see what you are typing )  
7. Type MEP2 ( you will not be able to see what you are typing ) 
9. Now the phone will prompt you to enter network mep code 
11. If you not already have a network mep code, then i suggest http://blackberrymep.com to get it from
12. Enter the network mep code ( you should see "code accepted" ) 
13. Restart your BlackBerry .

All done.
