Electric utilities sell power by the Kilowatt Hour.  That is 1,000 watts delivered for 1 hour.  Depending on your usage, you may have a small electric bill or a large one.  If you use as much power as CERN, you may be ahead to invest in a nuclear generating station, as they did.
