Discuss cassie's answer to: Understanding the child welfare system

if children knew what would happen to them in the child welfare system, would they have less negative behaviors? to revise my question... does anyone have proven/scholorly literature on this topic ...

well, nina, i think that since you are a social worker, you should not respond to someone so rudely. after all, you posted the question and crazybillearl didn't say anything out of the way. the child welfare system has such a bad reputation in most people's minds that they sometimes use it to scare kids into doing what they want. i don't think children realize that in some instances it can benefit them to be removed from abuse or drugs or whatever else is going on in the family. even abused children as you know, cling to their abusers. have you tried to speak to a child psychologist who deals with children either before or after being removed from their parents care?
