I have AOL Desktop 9.7. I can start it up and can get to web pages through it, but when I attempt to log in to my account it shows the "Connecting" window in the lower right corner, gets to Step 4 ...

I tried several things but finally completely un-installed AOL and then re-installed. It is now working fine.
