This should help ~ and it's much easier than having me try to answer it ~ lol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter This is the link for the site, in case you want to check it out: http://twitter.com/ I personally think it's kinda dumb, but seems as though all of my friends are jumping on the bandwagon to "tweet" and it just makes me kinda laugh and roll my eyes. The majority of people I know that have an account like to follow the "tweets" of their favorite celebs ~ actors/singers/bands, etc. I've looked at some of the things my friends have put up on their pages ~ like "I'm home making fried chicken for dinner....yum!!" and I think to myself "...and I need to know this because...????" To be perfectly honest, it seems like a site set up for people who have WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time on their hands....lol. Hope this helps...

They might try to tell you differently but thats what it is
