Discuss Judy Reynolds's answer to: Could YOU turn the other cheek, or not???

According to Matthew 5:39 Jesus said,.."But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also."  Jesus does not deny the law of retaliation, and that the principle is legal to allow punishment.  But we are to show that we have the love of Jesus within us, we are not the ones that turns there cheek, it is when we have the Faith that Jesus is going to help us.  I have never had to face it literally, but words can hurt just as bad and they can cut way down deep, and it is better to not lash back.  Who knows you might be the reason that this other person comes to the Lord.  We need to have the strength and power of Jesus Christ within us, because the day may be coming that we are going to have to trust Him to get you thru it.
