Generally you will not incure any personal expenses.  The Succerssor Trustee keeps a journal of all expenses and is reembursed before any heirs see any money.  If the Trust did not specifically state a sum for the duties usually it is customary for $12 - $15,000.  This sum is to be itemized to the rest of the heirs and depending on the assets available and the amount of work involved could be more or in some circumstances less. Remember you are being paid by the Trust for your time away from normal activities that other wise you would be earning a living.  Trust your instincts.

The industry standard is 1% of the value of the Estate.  This of couse is negotiable and is of couse subject to my canned answer.  Its on a case by case basis.
