Albertfrank, you said it quite well. My public education was pretty much worthless as far as teaching me about life and how to maneuver around in it. It is very narrow minded and directed towards attending college, which, obviously all the students are not suited for, nor able to afford.

Also, I found independent thought was something that was squelched, not fostered.
