Let me see if I have you right: you have a truck that takes standard 12.50 X 22" tires, and you are getting ready for an expedition. Okay, what make of truck, what is your destination and route, and what weight will you carry? If you're heading to the AlCan highway, that will take one kind of tire. If you're going for the ice road, you'll need to do some pretty extensive prep on your rig before you head to Yellowknife points north. They have some duly strict safety requirements for arctic driving: Nuna Logistics can be a pain, but considering the stuff you'll doubtless carry, it is well in order. Ketchikan can be a different set of specs also.

Two of our three rigs run those tires, but the old White rig we have, rated for 60,000 lbs, runs the old 10.00 X 20's you used to find all over the place.

not sure, try the standard size. . .  you can still replace if doesn't suites. Just like my Truck Grill Guards I give it back and they replace it for better one.

Rabbit, here's the link I didn't send you last time:

Bandag cold caps are the best compromise of reduced cost and improved traction that I know of.  Usually, you can get 300,000 miles out of a 12.00" X 22" all-position tire, (good for consistent dry-weather driving or non-hazmat), where DOT rules require specific tire placement for hazmat, which is obvious.

Good luck!
