Hi Adam, thanks for your post here,I have found below instructions for your information, feel free to preview.
.Check your thermostat and make sure it is working. If you see a low battery warning on the display, change the batteries. Make sure the thermostat is set to "Cool." Adjust the settings and select a temperature setting that is higher than the one displayed on the unit's LCD screen.
.Inspect the heat pump located outside your house. Check the circuit breakers inside the electrical panel next to the heat pump and make sure they are on. If they are on, turn them off and then turn them back on. This should reset them. Refer to your unit's manual if you are unsure where the circuit breakers are located.
.Check your disconnect switch which is usually located next to the heat pump. If it is off, turn it on.
.Remove the filters from the filter compartments on your heat pump. Using a soft brush, brush off dirt and debris and then reinsert them into the filter compartments. If the filters are damaged, purchase replacements. Some heat pumps recommend changing filters monthly. Refer to your heat pump's manual for additional maintenance steps as they vary with different models.
.Rake leaves and debris away from your heat pump's area.
