The most pleasant way would be to pick it up in CT and sail it down to Texas ; )...obviously not what you are looking for though.

Try http://www.uship.com/.   I have used them before on big items and was satisfied.  You can sign up and have people bid on getting the item to you and then take a look at how satisfied other customers have been with that particular shipper.

I would most definitely sail it.  It started out in the water, and it will return to the water, so it is cheapest and easiest on the boat to keep it in the water.

If at first you don't succeed, try . . . something that works!

How big is your boat? You could sail it around Flordia then across the gulf of Mexico. Or you could piggy back it like they do over seas.  I think the first suggestion is best, their are all sorts of inns, marinas, and places to stop, even if it's just to stop to eat or play golf.  Good luck.  Cool

It depends upon the size of the sailboat, where it is in Conn and where it's going in TX.  If small, trail it.  If landlocked transport it by truck.  If you're on the water in Conn and your destination is on the coast of TX ... and it's big enough to sail and you have time to sail it I'd opt for that as a worthy task ... but this time of year it won't be fun!
