Go to this link for transfer information in the Dubai International Airport.

For information about a stopover visa, go to this web page.

While I really appreciate your willingness to help, I must say that I came to Yedda after a few days' www-research as a last resort. So, the links in your answer are nothing new to me and there's actually no correct answer to my question on Dubai Airport's web-pages.

Well, I also must admit that my question was too short to figure out what I actually needed, but it was dictated by the considerations of laconism.

The real question sounds like this: I am going to fly to Maldives with a connection in Dubai. My Dubai arrival is Terminal 1, and departure is Terminal 3. I hold no UAE visa. Now, will there be any problem transferring between these terminals, and how the transfer should be perfomed?

Thank you in advance!

As long as you stay inside the grounds of the airport you do not need a transfer visa. As I wrote to you, there are five transfer desks available throughout the Concourse on the arrivals level, near Gates 22, 18, 14 and 8 and one at the Arrival Remote Gate (for those passengers who are brought to the Concourse from the aircraft by bus). How long is your lay over between flights?

It's 4.5 hours.

The point is that I am not sure if I will stay inside the grounds of the airport during my transfer. I mean, I do not know whether the transfer between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 requires leaving the airport grounds.

The second question about 96 hours stopover visa is for my return trip. I want to spend a couple of days in Dubai. No need to elaborate on this question further, I have already sorted it out.

Thanks,

One last thing, you will be staying inside the airport grounds between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Enjoy yourself and enjoy the duty free shopping, they have some of the best values in the world.

Hi Kibbutz,

So, you're sure I won't need to go through immigration/passport control in order to get my luggage and transfer to Terminal 3 to check in to the next flight, like at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok?

I am concerned because I have booked my connection flights separately on my own and there's no airline transfer, I mean I need to carry my luggage from one flight to the other.

Two suggestions:

1. You can write directly to the Dubai airport using this link and ask them.

2. Contact a travel agent and ask them to check for you.

I would be interested to know the answer you receive.

Hi Kibbutz,

Me again. I am flying to Dubai tomorrow, and am still not sure if I will have any problems transferring between the terminals :)

Look, there's no simple answer on the whole net, to my question of whether T1 and T3 interconnected by tunnel/travelators and whether I will not need to go through passport control to get from T1 to T3.

So, are you sure I will not be prevented from free travel between T1 and T3?
