There are several ways to do this:

  1. Ask the doctor's office if they can refer you to someone;
  2. ask you local librarian;
  3. contact county or city public transportation and identify yourself as a senior;
  4. contact local cab/taxi companies and identify yourself as a senior -- they sometimes offer a number of discounts or free rides per month;
  5. contact your church or synagogue;
  6. do an internet search: "transportation for seniors in (your county, state).   

If you are a senior or disabled, be sure to identify yourself to whoever you're speaking with for the proper options.
