how many quarts of transmission fluid do i need to fill my truck if im doing a filter change and fluid flush on my 2005 chevy trailblazer ext lt?

Your total tranny fluid capacity is 12 quarts.  However, that is only if the entire transmission system is completely drained and dry.  If you are simply doing a fluid and filter change on your own that we are talking about half that, maybe 6 quarts or so.
