Reconstructive? Or cosmetic? What if a woman had to have a mastectomy and had reconstructive surgery but didn't change her bust size, just rebuilt it to what it was. Wouldn't that be ok?

I would not question the motive of a woman who had reconstructive surgery done.  I have good reason to question the motive of a man who pays such hideous fees to make himself appear female.

One cannot understand the "motive of a man who pays such hideous fees to make himself appear female" unless SHE has lived within a male body (vice verse for female body/male brain).  Research facts, sweety.....  FYI.....Being gay is not the same thing as being transgendered.  YOU should have more compassion.....

Amen on reconstructive surgery to correct the effects of a disfiguring injury.  Deep enough scars can make it impossible to move.  Cleft Palate and facial injuries require surgical correction.

The severely disabling neuroses of persons who think that they are the other gender is not best solved on the operating table but in the office of a counselor who can resolve the underlying problems.

Invariably people who get sex change surgery find out that it was the worst of mistakes and try to have it reversed, only to find that there is no way to do so.
