How do you transfer family pictures from the internet to pictures on my computer

All depends where you images are stored and access you have to them.

If you are just viewing one image and want to save to the 'My Pictures' folder on your computer, you should be able to right click the image and select to 'save as' then navigate to the folder on your computer and save the image.

If you have access to a storage location on the internet where many images are stored, you may be able to select all the images and download using the storage hosts own download option.

Right click the mouse with the cursor over the picture you want Online then save the photo to (My pictures) provided their not blocked by the site for copying. Sometimes you can't copy photos or images like maps or some sattelite photos that require payment.

Use print screen button on key board to copy any image ( your whole screen comes along with it though) then paste the image in MS Word) Some sites that have pictures of parades or other town celebrations often charge for photos but you can often right click and save them with out having to pay! Now that is cheaper than even Walmart!

If you have MS Word selected in Internet Explorer you can select a page of a site then choose edict in MS Word. This enables you to capture the page an operate the drop down boxes in it if you have Virtual Basic among your MS Office products!

In XP Virtual Basic was included with MS office in the MS Word program but now the VB is separate so you'll have to fiddle around to use it from the other now separated program.  Sorry blame Bill gates! 

When hackers break into AOL or put fake websites, or send pop ups to steal information you can use Print screen to copy the Image or if on Internet Explorer use the Edit in MS word with Vitual basic to copy the stealing program with active drop down boxes and fill in blanks! you would have to know how to write in Virtual Basic in order to steer the data that gets filled out to storage like passwords and other garbage. Two people are in prison for hacking AOL and people on the Internet I stole their hacking  program in part with Edit in MS Word that had Virtual Basic. The partial program was stored on floppy an still tries to steer you to the hacking site with Microsoft Security now jumping in to warn you about using the program!

Once your camera is attached to the computer or your media card is in the media slot, you have some choices on how to transfer files onto your machine.

  If you have Adobe Photoshop Elements installed, the Adobe Photo downloader may pop up. If it does, you'll see the number of photos found, the hard drive space needed and some options for the transfer. The default options are recommended, but you can adjust them if you prefer. When you're ready, click 'get photos.' You're photos are copied to your hard drive and imported into the Adobe Photoshop Elements organizer, where you can edit, print and burn a CD of your photo collection.

  If you don't have Adobe Photoshop Elements installed, or the Adobe downloader does not pop up, you should see an AutoPlay screen like this one. Select 'import pictures' to copy photos from your camera or media card into the Windows photo gallery. Add a tag to help you find and organize photos later, and click import. Once you see your photos here, they're safely on your computer. You can choose to print, email or burn photos to a CD or DVD.

  On a Mac, you see your camera or media card as another drive on the computer. Double click the icon, and then through the folder structure to find your photos. To copy all of your photos easily, click edit, select all, then edit, copy. Then locate the folder to paste them on your computer and choose edit, paste. Your photos are now safely on your Mac hard drive.

  Now you can delete these photos off of your camera or media card by double clicking on your camera icon and through to your photos. Choose edit, select all, then file, move to trash. Then empty the trash by clicking and holding the trash icon and selecting, empty trash, to ensure that your camera or card is clear.

  Finally, be sure to eject your camera properly, by clicking and dragging it to the eject icon. Now you have space to take more photos.
