Discuss Chaplain John's answer to: We who have touched what is beyond . . ..

. . . have a duty and a trust to those who have not done so. It is one thing for me to fight in war, where I dropped bombs on hideouts of the coldest and most ruthless terrorists in Southeast Asia ...

Thank you Lady Darko.  We who have suffered the bitterness of pain know the sweetness of lasting comfort.  We who suffer the pangs of conscience and constantly re-thinking what we have done have developed a human heart and a guiding conscience.

We cannot bring comfort without knowing what misery is.

Nothing defeats the games of charlatans like the wisdom one gets from actually being there, with the dry mouth and sweaty palms that leftists simply cannot understand -- because they spent their lives secure and pampered.

Nothing will exchange for experience.  I pity those who were denied these formative experiences, of suffering and joy that make up a life well and fully lived.

Was it not always so?

In Jesus' Name, I bid you peace.

If God does not believe in atheists, then do atheists not exist?
