Tootsie Roll Charity . . . I suggest we rid ourselves of the "tootsie roll" handout as a promo tool, and use a 3-pak of bandages as the replacement.  Here's why.

The tootsie roll is awful candy.  It has no relevant connection to the appeal. It is bad for teeth.  It causes litter.  It has no ongoing communication.  Who is its target audience??  The "tootsie" is passe, and doesn't carry a sweet taste toward the KC cause.

A bandage pak, however, is useful,  carries a "helpful" message, has universal appeal and function, is small yet can pack a strong  emotional punch.  Will give the Knights a far better p.r. effort than a stale slug of candy.

I suggest a focus group, or KFC marketing, begin planning for the change.  I am interested in a quick response from the marketing staff.

SurprisedO no not Tootsie Rolls! I love my chocolatey chewy candy! Maybe what you could do Phil Tallmadge, is to include the 3-pak bandages along with the tootsie rolls, that way everyone's happySmileAnd especially people like me who genuinely enjoy them.

Phil-

You claim to be 75 and yet you sing the praises of Band-Aids as a great thing.

And electricians tape is black. Rarely have I had a cut that I could not fix with one of these two.

And a big thumb up on that KFC marketing-

Make mine crispy. And can you throw in a few extra hot sauces?

Why focus on tootsie rolls?  No candy exists that is "good" for teeth.
